Warp Table

A plugin for Filament 5

Fast Filament tables with thousands of editable rows

Warp Table draws the rows on a canvas instead of sending them as HTML. Your table keeps its header, filters, inputs, actions and selection, and a page with 1,000 editable rows opens in well under a second.

A Filament table with editable rows drawn by Warp Table

1,000 editable rows, measured in Chrome on this demo

Ten columns per row, with text inputs, selects, toggles and checkboxes. Run the same comparison yourself in the Speed Lab.

Page load
0.6 s native 10.4 s
HTML downloaded
0.65 MB native 38.2 MB
DOM nodes
1,488 native 92,821

At 2,500 rows the native table runs out of PHP's 256 MB memory limit; Warp Table renders it in about 1.5 MB.

Short clips recorded in this demo. Each one links to the page it was recorded on, so you can try it yourself.

1,000 rows: native vs Warp

The same Filament table loaded side by side, native and with Warp Table, timed by the browser.

Frozen columns and copying cells

The first columns stay put while a wide table scrolls. Select cells and paste them into a spreadsheet.

Still feels like Filament

Inline editing, validation errors, Shift+click, bulk actions, groups and summaries, and dark mode.

Sticky header

Scroll 1,000 rows fast and the header stays in view, next to the native table.

Keyboard only

Tab, Space and Enter take you from selecting to editing, with the same focus rings as native.

Speed Lab

500, 1,000 and 2,500 rows next to the native table, with the numbers the browser measured.

Multi-level rows

One record on two lines with merged cells, like a ledger, and subtotals per date.

On a phone

Swipe through the table, tap to edit, or stack each record as a card with stackedOnMobile().

One line on the table you already have

Columns, filters, actions, grouping and summaries are defined the native way. Warp Table only replaces how the rows are drawn, and falls back to Filament's own table for the few things it does not draw, such as reordering.

  • Same behavior: Tab and Enter in inputs, validation, Shift+click selection, bulk actions, Cmd+click links, Ctrl+F.
  • Same look: colors and fonts are read from your Filament theme, including dark mode.
  • Panels and Livewire: works in resources and in standalone table components.
public static function table(Table $table): Table
{
    return $table
        ->warp()
        ->columns([
            TextColumn::make('sku')->searchable(),
            TextInputColumn::make('price'),
            SelectColumn::make('status')->options([...]),
            ToggleColumn::make('is_active'),
        ])
        ->paginated([100, 500, 1000]);
}
